[:en]Before the trip, my mom said I will have to live with Australian host and go to school by myself by public train. I was so puzzled but when I arrived, that was a 180 - degree change. I spent three weeks living with the host and his two sons. The host family were really friendly, they will take care of you as a family member. The house was spacious and comfortable. There was also a small dog living with us. Everyday I go to school with my brother. The best time was when playing basketball and some ball games with our lovely dog. At the weekend, the whole family took me out for shopping, watching cricket match. The last time we went shopping before I had to go back to Vietnam, I got so emotional when they asked me to buy ingredients so that we could cook “phở” together. They said that it might help me with my homesick.[:vi]Trước khi đi mẹ nói em sẽ ở với chủ người Úc, tự phải đi học và về nhà bằng tàu điện, em hoang mang quá nhưng đến nơi, mọi thứ thay đổi 180 độ. Em đã có 3 tuần sống cùng cô chú nhà và hai anh con trai. Tất cả các thành viên trong gia đình vô cùng thân thiện, họ chăm sóc em như một thành viên trong gia đình. Khuôn viên nhà rộng, thoáng, cô chú nuôi một chú chó nhỏ. Ngày nào đi học về em cũng cùng chơi bóng với hai anh trai, màn chơi hay nhất là chơi bóng với lovely dog. Cuối tuần, cả nhà đưa em đi shopping, đi xem cricket vào cuối tuần. Lần đi shopping ấy cô chú khiến em xúc động nhất khi rủ em mua nguyên liệu và kêu em chỉ cho cách nấu phở VN để cô chú được thưởng thức còn em thì đỡ nhớ nhà.[:]

[:en]The first thing I want to say: "I wish I could return to this beautiful country again". I am the only one in my study tour team go to school from homestay by public bus not by train. Coming back to homestay in the first two days, I felt tired cause of car sickness, then my talkative host asked me everything, my day was so long. But on the 4th and 5th day, I felt really well when traveling by bus. Suddenly, I can respond easily to every English story of my host, these were so attractive. Especially, I took a role as a math tutor for host's 6-year-old daughter for more than two weeks. All of every things are so open and so useful to me, I have done things that I never thought I could do.[:vi]Câu đầu tiên muốn nói, em ước mình sẽ được quay lại đất nước xinh đẹp này một lần nữa. Em là đứa duy nhất trong đoàn đến trường từ homestay bằng xe buýt chứ không phải tàu điện. Đi về trong hai ngày đầu lúc nào cũng lửng lơ vì say xe, về nhà chủ lại hay nói chuyện, cô chủ nhà nói đủ mọi thứ, ngày nào cũng như vậy em thấy sao thời gian trôi lâu thế ko biết. Nhưng sang ngày thứ 4 thứ 5 em hết hẳn cảm giác say, bất ngờ hơn thấy các câu chuyện bác chủ nói rất hấp dẫn, ngạc nhiên hơn nữa phản ứng tiếng anh nhanh hơn nhiều so với ở VN. Đặc biệt em còn làm gia sư toán cho cô bé 6 tuổi con cô chú suốt hơn 2 tuần còn lại. Tất cả đều rộng mở và quá hữu ích với em, em đã làm được những điều mà chưa bao giờ nghĩ có thể làm được như thế.[:]

[:en]Before living with this homestay I did not disclose that I was very afraid of dog. And accidentally my host family has a dog but it is unexpected that the dog was lovely. I was taught how to be friendly with pets. I also visited the Taronga Zoo with other friends in our group. I realized that the nature was really attractive. All the fears latter became things that I wouldn’t worry about. Returning to Vietnam after 3 weeks of studying, all the experiences were unforgettable for me, especially the dog. Now I still keep in touch with my host family so that I can see the dog through the camera. And he was so cute. Before living with this homestay I did not disclose that I was very afraid of dog. [:vi]Trước khi ở homestay em đã không tiết lộ là em rất sợ chó, và tình cờ chủ nhà mà em ở lại có nuôi chó nhưng thật không ngờ chú chó quá là đáng yêu vô cùng. Em được chủ dạy cho cách thân thiện với vật nuôi, được đi cùng các bạn tới vườn thú Taronga tiếp xúc với nhiều loại động vật khác nhau, em nhận ra rằng thiên nhiên quả là hấp dẫn, những suy nghĩ sợ sệt về các con vật dường như không còn là điều em bận tâm trong chuyến đi này. Trở lại Việt Nam sau 3 tuần học tập - trải nghiệm các chuyến đi dã ngoại mỗi ngày cùng các bạn trong đoàn là một quãng thời gian không thể quên, nhất là em chó. Bây giờ em vẫn giữ liên lạc với bác để được nhìn em ấy qua màn ảnh nhỏ, yêu lắm ấy....[:]

And then I found out that “salted fish doesn’t go bad”. It was so wonderful! I could learn. I could visit all the popular places in every afternoons. I also voted for the World Cup. How cool is that! English was the only language that we used. In English class, if we said something in Vietnamese, there would be a “punishment” from our pretty teacher. And of course when we were back home, we cannot express anything in Vietnamese. This is the first time that I leaved HCM City. The warm clothes were a bit strange to me and also we had to do the laundry by ourselves. I still can not believe that I did it - taking care of myself for 3 weeks. [:vi]Mọi người thường ấn tượng nhất về em là "Đạt ko cười", vậy mà suốt chuyến đi và đi về con người em như mới. Bố gọi điện ngay cho cô trưởng đoàn cảm ơn cô cháu nhà anh giờ cười suốt, các bạn thấy đấy mình cười rõ tươi trong hình của đoàn đấy. Nhớ cái cờ đoàn cô đi tới đâu vẫy vẫy các bạn và màu áo hường đồng phục, đi đâu cũng nổi bật nhất. Nhớ cô và các bạn quá![:]

[:vi]Lúc ba mẹ nói con đi khóa học 3 tuần này đi, mình còn chần chừ nên mình là đứa nộp hồ sơ visa muộn nhất đoàn. Đi rồi mới biết cá ăn muối là cá không ươn. Quá đỉnh luôn, được đi học nè, tham quan tất cả các buổi chiều trong ngày nè, dã ngoại cả ngày cuối tuần nè, còn bình chọn world cup nữa chứ. Tất cả giao tiếp bằng tiếng anh mới oách chớ. Đến lớp nói tiếng Anh, có từ tiếng Việt nào xuất hiện cô giáo xinh đẹp xử ngay, về nhà homestay càng ko thể diễn đạt được gì bằng tiếng Việt. Lần đầu tiên xa HCM cả 21 ngày mặc toàn áo ấm đã lạ lắm rồi lại được chủ nhà hướng dẫn tự giặt phơi, thu xếp tư trang trong khi ở nhà toàn bác giúp việc làm. Giờ đây ko tin được là mình đã tự làm được mọi việc cho bản thân chỉ sau 3 tuần.[:]
